Dr. Satish Inamdar - In Memoriam
Dr. Satish Inamdar is trained as a surgeon with specialization in cancer surgery from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. He has been associated with the Krishnamurthi Foundation, India, since the year 1988. He is currently the Director of the Bangalore Education Centre, KFI and has been actively involved in The Valley School, Study Centre, Land Programmme and Kaigal Environment Education Programmme (KEEP). He has a keen interest in matters relating to the environment, culture, health, true education, inclusive education and philosophy of life.
Dr. Satish Inamdar was a trusted Advisor to Pramiti. A widely respected educationist, he shared our belief that every child should have access to high-quality learning. Dr. Satish helped to guide our strategy, build our team, and prepare us for expansion. We miss him greatly.
Professor Richard Rose
Richard Rose is Professor of Inclusive Education and Director of the Centre for Education and Research at the University of Northampton, UK. He has previously held posts as a teacher in schools in several parts of England and was also Head Teacher of a school and worked as an inspector of primary and special education. Richard's work has been published widely in academic journals and he is the author of several books on special and inclusive education. He has conducted research and consultancy in many parts of the world including Ireland, China, Malaysia, Georgia, Armenia, Estonia and Singapore and is currently Director of Project IRIS, a four year longitudinal study into special needs provision in the Republic of Ireland. Richard has been a regular visitor to India since 2000 and has worked in schools and with teachers in several parts of the country.
Dr. B.S Ramachandra
Dr. B.S Ramachandra is a Mathematical Physicist, Educationist, NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming ) Coach and Peak Performance Consultant. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and his PhD in Mathematical Physics (General Relativity, Black Holes) at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIAP), Bangalore, India. In the course of obtaining his doctorate and eventual post-doctoral research, Dr. Ramachandra found himself powerfully drawn to the cause of education in India. He co-founded the Centre for Fundamental Research and Creative Education (CFRCE), Bangalore, India, of which he is currently the Chairman and Director. He is also an Adjunct Professor at the Poornaprajna Institute for Scientific Research (PPISR). Along with extensive research interests, Dr. Ramachandra has vast and varied teaching experience of over two decades at diverse levels ranging from the primary to the secondary, undergraduate and post-graduate levels. He is a NLP Master Practitioner, Reiki Master and also certified in Montessori Primary level of instruction. As a mentor and teacher, Dr. Ramachandra has inspired many teachers and students to achieve outstanding excellence and choose careers in accord with their creative talent. He is a motivational speaker and is invited to give many a public talk throughout the year. He has participated in seminars and conducted workshops at the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, The Bangalore Science Forum, BITS – Pilani, ACE Creative Centre, Bangalore, Deeksha Centre For Learning and at many schools, colleges and Educational Trusts.
Ravi Srinivasan brings an experience of more than 23 years in the semiconductor industry. Prior to co-founding Concept2Silicon Systems, Ravi was heading the India operations for Teranetics. Before Teranetics, Ravi served in various management and engineering positions at Conexant Systems, Open-Silicon, Genesis-Microchip, Fujitsu Microelectronics and Wipro Technologies. Ravi has authored several technical papers and has been the invited panelist and technical committee member for multiple user group events and technical forums. Ravi has been interested in education and his interaction with his own sons and working with them made this interest grow. His experience while interacting with young graduates in India and outside of India during campus interviews made his interest and interrogation about the system of education stronger. He recognized the need for a strong foundation and also to make learning a joyful experience amidst all the pressures of examinations, entrance tests and competition. He believes that academic rigour is part of the natural process of learning and can be enjoyed by developing the “discipline of study skills” at the right time. With this objective in mind, Ravi co-founded Pramiti, a school that enables learning. Ravi received his Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics and his MBA in General Management and Marketing.
Savitha Ravi has a degree in Bachelor of Commerce after which she did her Technical Communication from the University of California, Berkeley. She has completed the certified training in Inclusive Education, Early Intervention and pre-primary Montessori Education. She completed her certification from the Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning (CIDTL). After working in schools like Kensri Academy of Excellence, Head Start Montessori House of Children with children from varied backgrounds and age groups, she has now Co-founded Pramiti School which is an inclusive school that has learners from pre-school to Grade 8. She is also the Co-founder of Ekayana Learners Huddle Pvt. Ltd. that works towards using Science as a base of education right from pre-school years. She was awarded by the Brindavan Education Trust for her contributions and outstanding work in the field of inclusion. She has conducted several workshops and developed curriculum for various subjects across varied age groups. She has also conducted the Mock United Nations at Kensri Academy of Excellence and worked closely to develop the International Baccalaureate Curriculum. She participates in conferences, seminars and panel discussion that encourage interdisciplinary learning and inclusive education. She also trains passionate individuals in developing interdisciplinary teaching methods and curriculum. She believes in the joy of learning and will continue her work with children and adults to spread education as means of learning to live together and work together in harmony. She believes in inclusion of people, methods, ideas, thoughts and processes that have the common goal of helping every child to learn effectively and joyfully. She encourages learners to question, wonder, explore and find answers while strengthening their skills of observation, self-assessment, thus enabling them to be proactive learners.
